Never Again! This is what we said following the Holocaust of WWII.
Never Again! And yet, over and over again genocide has occurred... in Darfur, Sudan, in Rwanda.
In Rwanda 800,000 Tutsis died while the US State Department debated whether "genocide" was occurring.

Genocide and mass murder have killed more people in the 20th century than all the wars combined.

What can we do? How can we do it? Open our minds, open our hearts, find the similarities, embrace the diversities, cooperate, collaborate, care, and act.

Echad Awakening's Mission is:

To ignite and fan the flames of community consciousness, cooperation, collaboration, and engagement, one person at a time.
To embrace diversity, to honor uniqueness, to enrich culture, and to build on our similarities.

We will hold one world class EVENT annually featuring a world renowned speaker who has overcome diversity and models inspiration. 

We will encourage dialogue at the EVENT in small facilitated roundtable discussion circles, and following the event through outreach seminars, workshops, book studies, etc., in collaboration with multiple other nonprofits.  All to build a healthy, productive, positive community, our community, which is a microcosm of the larger world view.
